Examine Hiring: Researcher

Although we're not actively hiring for a specific open position, we're always on the lookout for exceptional candidates. If you feel that you have the skills and qualifications necessary for the job, we would still love to receive an application from you! It shouldn't take more than half an hour to complete.

About the job

This job entails lots and lots of researching and writing about nutrition and health topics.

You have to absolutely love the nutrition and health research. Pubmed must be your friend, or at least frenemy.

If you get accepted for the position, you'll be working with a team of cool and curious nutrition nerds. Everyone's humble and everyone's a pleasure to work with; we take our work seriously, not ourselves.

We enjoy remote-working game nights, good and bad puns, boosting each other up, and of course demystifying health topics and finding cool applications for scientific research.

About you

Candidates must have extensive knowledge of nutrition science (typically with a graduate level degree in nutrition or a related field), and must be excellent writers.

To repeat, it's of utmost importance that you're open minded, curious, and easy to work with.

The logistics

The work hours are variable, and can be tailored to availability if you're looking for part time or full time work.

A typical week may entail 10 to 20 hours of work if the researcher is part-time, and around 30-40 hours if full-time. Why so low for full-time? We get Fridays off at Examine!

Be prepared for 1-2 rounds of detailed test assignments during the application process, as this is a position that requires very particular skills.

We expect you to stay with us at least a year, and hopefully much longer.

Please submit your LinkedIn profile and/or CV, along with at least one writing sample related to a nutrition or health topic.
