IIFYM ("If It Fits Your Macros") is a catchism that some people have adopted as a diet, stating that as long as one achieves their macronutrients, food quality is not important.
To be clear, IIFYM was never meant to be a diet. The phrase spawned from the Bodybuilding.com forums where people would be on a diet and say "hey, can I have a kit kat?" The answer to such questions was invariably "IIFYM."
In no way was it supposed to disregard food quality or find vegetables and similar inferior. A more precise meaning of IIFYM would "if you have gotten high quality food and have reached your general macronutrient targets, there is nothing wrong with indulging in food."
Your macronutrient with consideration to food quality IS important for overall health.
