Getting enough dietary vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, folic acid, and calcium are important for maintaining the health of the teeth and gums.[1] Therefore, consuming a diverse diet that contains adequate amounts of these nutrients will help foster optimal oral health. Additionally, excessive sugar consumption contributes to the development of dental caries.[2]
