    Last Updated: October 13, 2024

Osteoarthritis is a progressive joint disease that is characterized by a loss of joint cartilage. On the other hand, osteoporosis describes bones that have become weak and brittle due to low bone mass. People with osteoporosis are at a higher risk of fractures, often from falls.[1]
