Over-the-counter vaginal pH tests can’t be used to diagnose specific conditions, but they are valid screening tools. These tests change colors to show the pH of vaginal discharge, which can help users discern whether they might have a bacterial infection or a yeast infection. These tests are fairly accurate (up to 90%) and can help users make informed decisions about pursuing further treatment.[1]
