    High-glycemic-index foods are foods with a glycemic index score of 70 or more. These foods are known to cause a rapid increase in postprandial blood glucose levels. Examples of high-glycemic-index foods are high-fructose corn syrup, white bread, white rice, and most breakfast cereals.
