Bio
A former competitive bodybuilder and perpetual fitness enthusiast Bill’s passion for optimizing health and fitness through science led him to obtain a BSc. in chemistry before transitioning into the life sciences, completing a PhD in biomedical science. He's currently a research scientist at (The) Ohio State University, where his research is focused on the role of the immune system in muscle and tissue repair, as well as mechanisms that link stress/injury to the loss of 'self-tolerance' in autoimmune disease. When he's not pondering mechanisms that break tolerance to self-antigens, Bill enjoys archery, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, and shooting sports and is an aspiring gearhead.
