There is some evidence to suggest that Garcinia cambogia could lower blood glucose, and it could theoretically be useful in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. One study found that combining Garcinia cambogia with glucomannan could result in lower blood glucose levels,[1] but a meta-analysis did not support these results.[2] More research is needed to assess the effectiveness and the safety of Garcinia cambogia for people with type 2 diabetes.
