    Spirulina may enhance exercise performance, particularly in endurance activities, by reducing fatigue and increasing power output, though evidence is mixed. It must be taken consistently for days or weeks to be effective. However, it generally does not aid postexercise muscle recovery, except for in athletes with low dietary antioxidants, in whom it may help reduce oxidative damage.
