    Cathelicidin is an anti-microbial peptide produced by epithelial cells in several different parts of the body, including lungs, urinary tract, skin, and the gastrointestinal tract. In addition to its potent antimicrobial activity, cathelicidin helps to recruit immune cells to sites of infection.
