N-terminal Prohormone of Brain Natriuretic Peptide

    N-terminal prohormone of brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP or BNPT) is a prohormone secreted by heart cells in response to stress (e.g., increased pressure). It is used to diagnose heart failure, establish disease prognosis, and monitor the effects of therapy.
