The DASH diet was actually ranked as U.S News’ Best Overall Diet (tied with the Mediterranean Diet). It is not only good for lowering blood pressure, but has also been shown to lower LDL-C.[1] It is also a good choice for weight loss[2] and may also reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.[3]
