The effects of probiotics on diarrhea and constipation in children
In this umbrella review of 35 meta-analyses, probiotics reduced the incidence and duration of diarrhea (by 1.85 days). Probiotics also reduced constipation symptoms in children with constipation but did not increase stool frequency.
