Lactoferrin

    Lactoferrin is an iron-binding glycoprotein found in the milk of mammals. Colostrum (the first milk after a baby is born) contains especially high levels of lactoferrin. Research suggests that lactoferrin exhibits antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiparasitic properties.
