What supplements affect GLP-1 levels?

    Last Updated: January 16, 2024

A small handful of test tube and animal studies suggest that supplements such as yerba mate tea,[1] Momordica charantia extract,[2] berberine,[3] resveratrol,[4] curcumin,[5][6] and Ginseng[7][8] could boost GLP-1 levels.

However, the few randomized controlled trials that have looked at supplements’ impact on GLP-1 have yielded negative results: Green tea extract,[9] resveratrol,[10] and green-plant membranes[11] all don’t seem to boost GLP-1 levels.
